SHAKESPEARE’S CHURCH,
COTSWOLDS WEDDING

Yasmin & David’s classically styled wedding in the Cotswolds, took place in the most romantic of settings, Shakespeare’s own church in Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Jordan of Jasper and Quinn Florals who designed the most beautiful florals, explained, “Yasmin’s vision was clear – she dreamt of autumnal woodland florals which encapsulated the departure of Summer. We took inspiration from the changing of the light to those hazy golden hues, the leaves turning and the texture they bring, and the pure and elegant essence of the typical white English garden rose. For all of the personal bouquets and buttonholes, we kept the florals very neutral in tone using only gentle whites and creams, including iconic English flowers like scented Margaret Merril roses, myrtle and sweet williams. Elsewhere through the venues, we brought in lots of rich Autumnal colour, bringing the outside in. The florals told a story, with the purity of the personal pieces representing the honesty of Yasmin and David’s relationship and their promises to each other, whilst their venue flowers represented the natural environment within which they chose to be wedded.”

Yasmin’s full gown by Sophia Tolli and cathedral length veil suited this epic church wonderfully and created the most gorgeous silhouettes for their portraits in the grounds of Ettington Park with David in his classically styled black tuxedo.

This was a truly emotional wedding, a couple from different countries who met in a third on holiday, who had already made the commitment to change where they lived, and waited during the pandemic for the chance to bring their families together. Their deep connection was so beautifully summed up in one of the best Father-of-the-bride speeches I have heard from Yasmin’s father; ‘Love is an action, a daily decision’; the heartfelt essence behind every wedding, and why it is a true honour to photograph these celebrations.
