Your wedding day is undeniably one of the most important days of your life and as a Fine Art Wedding Photographer in London, I’m on hand to capture each and every moment on camera. From the array of emotions to the exquisite details of your day, there are so many beautiful opportunities to capture and treasure. I’ve been working as London wedding photographer for six years and during this time, I always ask my couples to send me a list of the wedding photographs they want me to secure. While many brides and grooms know exactly what they want from their wedding photographer, others may need a little guidance.
With a light, romantic and natural photography style and years of experience, today I am explaining the must-have wedding photographs every couple should get on their special day.
The morning of your wedding day is so special and it’s a time that should really be treasured and appreciated, and what better way to do this than to ensure I am on hand to capture it all. Whether you’re enjoying champagne with your bridesmaids or having your hair and make-up done, I adore being there to experience and photograph the pre-wedding nerves and all of the excitement. I always ask couples to let me know the timings of their morning schedule so I know exactly what’s happening and when.
Whether your mother or maid of honour will be helping you put on your dress, this is such a poignant moment to capture and it really is a firm favourite of mine. There is something so personal about having a loved one put on your wedding dress and it’s hard to tell the story of the bond it creates, without having it photographed.
I love nothing more than capturing the reactions of your family and friends when they see you in your dress in the first time, or the sweet looks between you and your beau mid-ceremony. From excitement, happiness and tears, there are always an overwhelming amount of emotions that I capture within a split second. The reaction photographs are something that you will always look back on and smile.
The Couple Shots
I always encourage couples to steal a few minutes alone after the wedding ceremony to secure those beautiful couple portraits. We will discuss your wedding venue beforehand to scout out the most romantic locations and backdrops to ensure your couple photographs are perfect.
The Group Shots
Your team of ‘maids and groomsmen are spending the day celebrating your love story right by your side, so it’s important to ensure you get plenty of lovely group shots. Your bridal party will not only adore being a part of your special day, they will love having the pictures to look back on.
The confetti shot is always a glorious one and it should definitely be on your list of must-have wedding photographs. It showcases so much – the sheer excitement and happiness of becoming newlyweds, celebrating with your guests and the start of your happily ever after. It’s fun, colourful and something I would always recommend.
You’ve spent hours, days and even months agonising over the details and decorations for your wedding day and I love photographing each and every one! From your centrepieces to stationery, floral design and place settings, you can enjoy your day in style knowing that it will be there for you to look back on.
The Golden Hour
The golden hour is one of my favourite times of the day to capture those all-important couple photographs. Shortly before sunset, the sky appears softer with a subtle golden hue, offering some of the dreamiest backdrops for your pictures.
The Epic Finish
After an incredible day of celebrating, the epic finish is something that definitely needs to be documented and I have great fun capturing the party in action.
I offer couples wedding photographs that are romantic, intimate and light. If you’d like to find out more about how I can be a part of your wedding day, get in touch!
